Deliveries - Faro airport & holiday accommodation

After collecting your baggage, pass through customs, and exit into the arrivals concourse. Turn left and continue 100 metres inside the building along the concourse, passing the Police Post and the Meeting Point on your left. You will then see on your left a counter signed Car Hire - Others and look for the YOR car hire sign.

Your car will be delivered in Faro Airport or your accommodation as requested. On arrival in Portugal please call the free phone number below to finalize arrangements for the delivery of your car. The office is open from 09.00 to 19.00 seven days a week. The reps will not set off to deliver your car until you have confirmed your arrival. Deliveries are normally made between 07.30 and 23.00. If your hotel or apartment is booked in a different name to that on this reservation please let us have the other name to facilitate contact should the reps need to ask for you at your reception. Please note that mobile phones on roaming services may not call free phone services and that you may need to dial a national code to call Portuguese numbers (00351). At the airport you will be met in the arrivals area by a representative of YOR car hire-Young Original car hire.

Besides the international airports of Faro and Lisbon, we can deliver cars at your hotel or resort anywhere in the Algarve or Lisbon area upon request, without any cost for bookings with at least 6 days. On bookings with less than 6 days, there will be a delivery charge between 15 EUR and 40 EUR according to the delivery address. Deliveries in Lisbon area are subject to a surcharge of Euro 20

Please look out for someone with a sign YOR car hire. As you come through the sliding doors from baggage reclaim please follow the barrier round to your left. Ahead of you and to your right you will see the car hire reps waiting area ( near the POLICE STATION ). If you do not see the airport rep as you come out of the arrivals area he may be with another client. He has a mobile phone and you may call him on

There is a public phone near the arrivals area. We do not have a desk in the airport.
You may alternatively between 09.00 and 19.00 call the freephone number shown below and our office staff will call the airport rep for you. Please note that mobile phones on roaming services may not call free phone services and that you may need to dial a national code to call Portuguese numbers (00351).

The car will be on our car park at airport car park No. 4 Row G. On leaving the front of the terminal building please cross the road and the pay car park in front of you. Our car park is across the road on the far side of the pay car park about 200 meters from the terminal building. If you have a trolley you may wish to follow the road to your right around the edge of the car park.

When returning the car to Faro airport please park it on the car park from where you collected it. There is a swipe card on the sun visor to allow access to the car park. Please replace the card on the sun visor as the airport authority charge 25 euros for replacement cards. If the rep is unable to be there to welcome you please leave the car unlocked with the key on top of the drivers wheel. Please rest assured that if you do not meet the rep in the normal course your deposit card slip will be destroyed without delay.

Please do not leave the car on any other car park, as you will remain responsible for hire fees and our expenses. If there has been any damage or other loss to the car please call the rep on the number above. It is in your interest to agree the damage with him before leaving.

Reservations must be received no less than 72 hours in advance of your arrival time to guarantee a confirmed booking.

When completing our reservations form, please do not forget to register your correct E-mail address in the field provided as without we cannot reply to you.

Airport Service

To make a reservation we must have your flight number, date of arrival and flight arrival time in Faro Airport

Faro Airport , Your car will be waiting for you on your exit from the baggage hall! Look for our agent with the YOR Car Hire sign! you.

Please note cars are only available for collection at Faro Airport between 07:00 and 20:00.

An English Speaking representative will be at the airport to deliver your car to you! The representative will assist you complete the contract and payment procedures in the airport! ( Please note that payment is best in cash or by credit card). Just look for the YOR Car Hire sign on exiting the baggage hall.

After collecting your luggage in the baggage hall exit through the barriers into the arrivals hall and turn left in the direction of the centre of the hall. After 10 metres you will see a yellow line on the floor and there you will find the YOR Car Hire representative.

Please ensure that you have available for inspection passports and valid drivers' licences.

Car Return

At the end of your rental just leave your car at the airport car park or at our Lagos office.

Rental Conditions:

Minimum rental age: 23 years

All prices are per week and the minimum car rental is 3 days

One Additional driver for your YOR Car Hire vehicle can be added to your rental contract free of charge subject to provision of relevant drivers' licences and age - restrictions.

Trips to Spain - The hire includes unlimited mileage within Portugal. If you wish to go to Spain you will need a bail bond and green card from our insurers. There is a charge of 50 euro.

No cautions.

Excess Waiver :

Personal accident insurance is not included.
Insurance cover is subject to an excess and your maximum liability is indicated below. Here is the price for optional waiver of the excess:
Group A / B / C / - excess 300 Euro
Group D / E / F/ - excess 450 Euro
Minibus/Cabriolet/Jeep - excess 1000 Euro

PAI - Personal Accident Insurance only 4 Euro / day availalbe on request.

Should you have an accident or the car is broken into or any other event that requires a claim on the insurance you must call the police and get an incident report number. Without this the insurance will not pay the claim and it is your responsibility to obtain the police report number and deliver it to us. If you have any difficulties with this please do not hesitate to call the office and we will be happy to help. Please call our office to report any loss or damage even if the car remains driveable.

Payment :

The prices for the rental of the car are based on the pick up and drop off at Faro Airport.

Prices for three days are equivalent to 50 % of weekly prices.

If you pay by credit card we ask you to complete a card slip as security for the amount of the deposit and excess. However this is not submitted to the bank unless there is a claim, so in the normal course you will not actually pay a deposit for either the excess. At the end of the hire the slip is returned to you and you should destroy it without delay.

For periods between 4 and 7 days, prices are equivalent to the daily pro- rata of the 3 day price.
(Ex. a 4 day rental would cost equivalent of the 3 day price divided by 3, than multiply by 4.)

For periods after 7 days is pro- rata
(Ex. a 10 day rental would cost the equivalent of the weekly price divided by 7, and multiply by 10.)

Car Fuel

At the end of the hire please return the car with the same amount of petrol as at the start of the hire. The nearest petrol station is approx 300 meters from the airport. Follow the airport approach road until you join the main Faro road. There are petrol stations in both directions approx 1 kilometre beyond the road junction. Please note that there are no petrol stations on the motorway along the Algarve and you should take the opportunity to fill up at the petrol station mentioned above. Returning to the airport there is no accessible petrol station on the motorway or the approaches to the airport. We recommend that you call at a petrol station at the start of your journey. It is for this reason that we do not operate a full tank policy.
